NHS
Accelerating clinical trials during COVID-19.
Overview.
Nottingham Health Science Partners (NHSP) was set up to increase clinical research activity in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by developing a single strategy across the leading NHS, academic and industry organisations to improve the health of local people, as well as to contribute to the evidence and knowledge of effective treatments nationally and internationally.
This partnership is made up of the key organisations that are working to transform health and care through research and clinical education locally. The Nottingham Research Hub is a one-stop source of information about clinical research taking place in the NHS in Nottingham and surrounding areas. This Hub is one of the ways that Nottingham Health Science Partners and the organisations involved in the partnership are developing to talk to, engage with and involve you in our research.
Role: Account Lead
Sector: Healthcare
Agency: Cite

Brief.
NHSP, Nottingham Health Science Partners, commissioned Cite to give them a hand pushing clinical trials in the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire areas, whilst they underwent a colourful rebrand.
The ‘Research Hub’ was once a space on a larger (more complicated) website. With the focus changing, it now needed its own website, built in a way that is futureproofed, cost-effective and most importantly accessible.

Response.
We responded with a brand new website, using the NHS Nightingale Theme on WordPress Gutenberg. As the most adept on WordPress in the team and having worked with numerous NHS clients previously, my responsibility was to build and test the site, following a set of XD Designs provided.
Eventually, I trained the NHS Nottingham team on how to maintain the website going forward.

Results.
We saw an increase in applicants to clinical trials from the launch of the new Research Hub, and NHSP reapproached the agency to work together on several campaigns after a successful working relationship.
