Helping Motimate make a splash every product release.
Overview.
Motimate has a mission to make learning fun and easy for everyone through their unique training courses designed to supercharge your knowledge. Before being acquired by Kahoot!, they were a rapidly growing tech start-up. We worked with the team to establish the role of brand in the organisation.
Following a website launch, we worked directly with the CMO at Kahoot! to market the brand consistently across all channels. One of the main efforts to inject personality came in their quarterly app product releases.

Brief.
Every time Motimate launches new updates, they drop a ‘product release’ which gives all users a snapshot of what they can expect on the platform. It was our job to define a theme for the product releases in the upcoming year, and then roll this out in each season - this time it was for Autumn. It needed to be fun, shareable and full of personality.

Response.
Taking inspiration from the latest updates (new language functionality, group admins, two-factor authentication, cybersecurity) and the style from the previous releases, we created a landing page, crafted several social posts and built an email newsletter in HubSpot. It was my responsibility to oversee this mini-project, alongside others, with Motimate.
We put together a suite of Autumnal assets that called out the key features with nods to the season. The most obvious way to do so was by using dark orange shades, pumpkins and sprinkling leaves throughout. A neat concept in one of our assets was a leaf blower, blowing away the old and welcoming in the new, using leaves as a metaphor.


Results.
There are no results on record for these mini projects; instead, they formed part of a wider piece of work between Cite and Motimate to build brand awareness for the app.
